The Mog & Rue Spring Soiree in Encinitas on Friday night was a big hit among the local beach community style seekers.
Michelle Wright, a freelancing make up artist for Chanel and Christian Dior, spent some quality time with each shopper to show them what works and what doesn't for their individual looks.
Ensemble a group that calls itself, “A
collective of brilliant minds from San Diego's creative industries” is meeting
tomorrow night from 8-10 pm at the Culy warehouse downtown at 338 7th Avenue. The group includes movers and shakers in the SD fashion
scene, and FashionstreetSD is proud to be a part of this innovative new

We all have a gorgeous party dress hanging in our closets, that we know deep down we will never again wear. For me, it’s the gorgeous sapphire blue a-line halter bride’s made dress from my best friend’s wedding two years ago. Or the fabulous 80’s inspired fuchsia frock from my senior Sadie Hawkins’s dance. Whatever the case may be, you know you’ve got at least one of these silk, organza, ruffled taffeta frocks hiding deep in the back of your closet!

proliferation of this new digital media genre with the debut of first annual
fashion film festival in America.
These evolutionary events in the world of fashion
will begin on Friday, April 23, 2010 and will conclude with a cinematic finale
on Saturday, April 24, 2010. The events will take place in and around La
Jolla's pristine coastline, parks, bays and famous Prospect Avenue, offering
attendees a world-class seaside resort experience.

This Sunday, March 7, ArtPower! at UCSD will be hosting the Green
Carpet Oscar Party at
the The Loft located on the 2nd floor of
Price Center East. It is expected to be a rousing night of entertainment, film
and eco-friendly fashion by Green Envy Clothing and +E (Positive Energy). The
event will showcase a creative aspect of environmental awareness and sustainability.
Doors open at 4pm and the show will start at 5pm. The first
50 Green Carpet Oscar patrons will receive a complimentary eco-friendly
shopping tote, courtesy of Green Envy Clothing.
Tomorrow, March 6 2010, the San Diego produced apparel line Crow Thief will be hosting an exclusive sale and giveaway in conjunction with the Art of Sound. It's back again! This Sunday, March 7th from 12p-5p at VOYEUR downtown. At least 10 Fashion/Jewelry brands from SD will be
participating in a boutique blowout sale!
I'm really excited for this upcoming event featuring Mahjuba Levine, a professional wardrobe stylist. This special evening, she will be helping people shop while offering wardrobe consultations. Every fall and spring I go through this phase where I want to take all the clothes I never wear to the thrift shop, and then I want to go SHOPPING! I get so inspired and I want to refresh and renew my whole look.
But sometimes I need a lot of help thinning out my closet, especially with beloved items that I can't seem to part with, regardless the fact I have not worn them in months, even years.
